Well arent you gonna tell us what your actual job is?

Huh, Uh just office mumble mumble and you know, alright so yeah, see you later

Uh no Thomas I dont think so sit down and tell me what your job is....

Right well o.k here it goes there is the lie answer which I like to describe as ocupational embelishment or there is the truth answer which I like to call dumbing yourself down, below is the truth and the lie answer:

I am head of copyrighting and office utility supplies for a major Australian banking firm. I have my own office and I am payed far too much for doing far too little.

OR

I photocopy stuff all day and every now and then someone comes in to get a pen or a stapler. I work in a room by myself and I am payed far too little for doing far too much.

One of the above is correct the other is incorrect...You decide

P.s Mum the clue is I dont have my own office just to prevent any embarressment as I know you love a bit of idol chat in the Tesco que - Yesssss, Tom has his own office and everything, he has always been so lucky with jobs.

Is Brisbane Brilliant Briant?

They say that time flys when your having fun and well that does seem to be the case ( although today I woke up with conjunctavitis in one eye, I wasnt aware that this was possible, maybe one of my eyes is weaker than the other.....good god maybe it means I will go blind in one eye when Im older and I will be one of those freaky men you see every now and then in supermarkets wearing eye patches: Note to self look up any history of pirates in family.) Paul and I have been living in our new house now for over a week. There is a saying in Brisbane that goes "too easy" (easy isnt it) and well in Brisbane things are seeming to be that way, I can safley say on behalf of Paul and myself that all is good and time is slipping away as it does when all is good.

I was in a hostel the other week and someone asked me how long I had been here, I stated that I had been here roughly 6months (Just over for stat bods,) This response was recieved with the sucking lemon face and a sudden inhalation. Basically I was told that from here on in the time will just fall away and it does seem to be the case, though I suppose this is just a sign of the fact that I am having a good time here ( I cant imagine there are prisoners having the same conversation: "Oh mate the first 6years drag by but now that you only have 6years left you will find yourself not knowing where the time has gone)

Well no doubt now that I have bigged up my happiness levels I will be jinxed and will go back to my room to find my brand new Ipod (or pod as the kids are calling it these days) has for some reason exploded or some other ill fated ......something, I give up...

Having moved into our new house, employment is the next major task on the agenda. I have been told that I start a long term contract later this montha and hopefully I can find some temp work till then. Anywho, my employment agency who shall remain unnamed have sent me a Health and Saftey link to complete before I can undertake work. The reason I am blogging this is becuase of one of the questions related to your computer....and I quote:

" I see smoke coming from my screen, Its still working though! What shall I do?"

No word of a lie thats what it says, what is the world coming too...not this I hope:

Barry: Oi Norm come have a look at this will yer!!

Norman: What is it Barry man, I'm busy........Ooooohhh Chuffin heck, whats that coming out of your computer???

Barry: Oh nothing its just smoke, listen I can't send this flaming attachment via e-mail (no puns intented)

Norman: No Barry mate that aint right mate!!

Barry: Yeah but its still working!!!!!

Norman: Yeah but, I don't think it safe

Barry: What should I do then????

Hopefully my screen won't be luke warm let alone smoking, In other news the new house posse seem delightful, They are and spelling may not be 100%: Reagan, Carryn and Stu. They are all students so its like being back at uni. They have organised a moving in party for the weekend of the 23rd which should be good. Seeing as we have a huge basement with sofas and card tables and the sort I will imagine it will be held there and a good time will be had by all. On that note a little point: Brisbane has been socially excellent for us so far, we have made more friends here already in our short time than we did in the whole time in Sydney. Some of these new mates may even get invited to the party - they of course will be the cool ones in the corner.

One other thing I have remote control in my bedroom for the lights and the fan which means baring urinal breaks it may be possible for me to spend entire weekends in bed either lit or in darkness..... contemplating!

Uh Norm mate, my uh computer...uh yeah its on fire...you got any sausages???

Home Sweet Home

Tom Unt Paul have a house....Yey. Its in Dutton Park, about 10 min out of Brisbane CBD and its a stunner. Happy as LArry and I should know cos I met him.
