A few congratulations are in order......

Firstly congratulations and well done to Watford F.C, They have joined the big boys (Like Newcastle) in the premiership. This is good news on many afront, Firstly its always nice to see a local team do well, It also means that there will be premiership football in Watford again which means I may get to catch a few games when I get back (when I get back....,) however lastly and most importantly it means the following conversation can take an easier route.

Stranger: Yer mate I'm from Slovinia me, What bout yerself?

Tom: What me, yeah I'm from um Tring...

Stranger: Trent!!?? Nah mate never heard of it!

Tom: No, No Tring, Terrrr-Ring...

Stranger: Ring, What kinda f@ckin name is Ring..."ring - ring, like a telephone," Never heard of it, is it in Scotland like?

Tom: Uh No Uh its near Uh Watford

Stranger: Oh Watford, Yeah that shitty Premiership team that look like Bees

Tom: Its wasps you tit but yeah thats me

So Thank You Watford for making my geographical explanations a whole lot easier. As some may know for twenty years I thought Tring was south of London?? Thank you Mr Bunting, If you had stopped me from blowing spit balls at the clock in geography lessons for an hour twice a week maybe I would not be in this position.

Next congratualtions are in order to Brent and Todd, the two miners who spent 14 days in a cage under ground ( the Koreans thought this was a five star hotel resort and that the miners were merley taking part in some big brother style documentry.) I'm not sure how much coverage it got in the U.K but it has been front page here for a while, The Sun would of loved it. People can't get enough of them out here and they even had a 3hr interview on Sunday night and the presenter cried...good god, Cooper and I have predicted that they will release a song!! Watch this space. Talking of bets, about two months ago I had a look at putting 10 quid on Theo "Im a big boy now" Walcott being in the England squad...35-1, Effin hell, you do the maths. Any who much hysteria has been bestoed upon these two miners and rightly so as they have endured much in the last two weeks, however Paul was and I quote "a bit dissapointed they got out so early" as he was quite enjoying the daily anticapation!!!

Lastly congratulations to me as I completed my first days work in two months, all be it a temp job and I turned up half an hour late. I was sat in a room with 6 girls ( believe me when I say it was not half as good as it sounds) stuffing envelopes, however I start my proper job Wednesday so will report on how that goes.

Bye
